This official Betty Boop collectable figure comes from the wonderful C&S Collectables range and is the perfect gift for a Betty Boop collector. "Superstar" measures 15cm high and is officially licensed by Fleisher Studios.
In 1930 when Max Fleisher first created the character Betty Boop, the cartoons were considered rather explicit. Betty wore a sleeveless dress that ended high above her knees, and in countless cartoons, this dress came off. The phase "boop oop a doop" seemed to have more meaning than just a scatty nonsense expression!
This all changed around 1935 with the passing of the Hay Act in America; this was designed to clean up the media. It censored movies & cartoons and transformed her into the wholesome character Betty Boop fans know and love today.
Her enduring popularity has created an ever increasing demand for Betty Boo collectables.
